Steven Frank Grimm, age 66, of Montgomery, died on Friday, August 9, 2024, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 13 from 4-7pm at Schoenbauer Funeral Home in Montgomery. Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, August 14 at 11am with visitation one hour prior at Most Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Montgomery. Interment will be held at a later date.
Steve was born on March 8, 1958, in Faribault to Burton and Ludmilla (Novak) Grimm. He attended Montgomery Lonsdale High School. Steve was united in marriage to Mona Meger on April 12, 1980, at St. Scholastica Catholic Church in Heidelberg. He worked as a commercial roofer for 46+ years. Steve enjoyed traveling, camping with his grandchildren, tinkering on the Model T, visiting, playing cards and bingo, hunting, and especially loved his family and friends.
Steve is survived by his wife, Mona Grimm of Montgomery; children, Eric (Christy) Smykalski of Le Sueur, Nick (Nicol) Grimm of Madison Lake, Mason Grimm of Montgomery, and Sam Grimm of Montgomery; grandchildren, Melanie Smykalski, Kaylee Smykalski, Ben Smykalski, Autumn Marlatt (Nick Bleess), Corey Marlatt (Cassie Figueroa), Desiree Marlatt, Alice Grimm, Addi Grimm, and Cora Grimm; great-grandchildren, Tucker Marlatt, Reegan Duit, and Myla Marlatt; siblings, Don (Lorna) Grimm of Northfield, Diane (Cary) Blank of Le Center, Carol (Gary) Pelowski of Le Center
Darlene Filan of New Prague, Bruce (Tera) Grimm of Arlington, and Regina (Dave) Deutsch of New Prague.
Steve is preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Jeff Grimm.
